The Week of Dec. 10th, 2012

Over the course of the week work will focus on identify subjects and predicates, identifying and using similes and metaphors. Students are also writing persuasive essays this week. Students are currently reading the play The Baker's Neighbor.  As a class we are also reading the novel entitled, Landry News, by Andrew Clements.In science our unit on Animals will continue throughout the course of the month. Finally, students have begun a research project on the subject of the Dust Bowl. This week they will visit the library twice to conduct research.
